GRID TELECOM-TI SPARKLE GREECE COLLABORATION

After interconnecting with the biggest Data Centers in Greece, GRID TELECOM announces its collaboration with TI SPARKLE GREECE and the interconnection of its optical fiber network with SPARKLE’s Data Center.

TI SPARKLE GREECE is part of TIS Group (Telecom Italia Sparkle Group), operates in Greece since 2001 and, so far, offers its services through three proprietary Data Centers 8000 m², 6 MW. In Attica, its two Data Centers locate in Metamorphosi and Koropi, the third one is placed in Chania, Crete. TI SPARKLE GREECE is a leader in Cloud and Data Center market, with 40% of the market share and more than a hundred clients, including telecom providers, organizations, domestic and multinational companies.

GRID TELECOM  established in 2019 as a subsidiary company of the Greek Independent Power Transmission Operator “IPTO” and its purpose is the commercial exploitation of IPTO’s terrestrial and submarine fiber optic network, providing high-speed telecommunications services to domestic and international providers as well as large companies. The fiber optic network with a total length of 3,000 km, with an expansion plan to 12,000 km, extends throughout Greece, ensuring a very high level of service availability. Through the GRID network there will be the possibility of expansion beyond the borders of Greece, uniting it with the Balkan countries and Turkey.
