Cinturion and Grid Telecom Announce MOU for Landing Party Services in Greece

HAMILTON, Bermuda — Cinturion Corp Ltd., a global provider of scalable, subsea and terrestrial capacity-based network solutions, announced that it has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreement with Grid Telecom, one of the leading providers of fiber optic connectivity throughout Greece and with onward interconnections to Europe, to be its Landing Party partner in Greece.
The partnership of Cinturion and Grid Telecom will provide our customers with open-access interconnection with leading edge data connectivity and international reach to Southeast Europe.
Cinturion’s TEAS – Trans Europe Asia System, is the most advanced submarine and terrestrial network, enabling high-speed, resilient, and secure connections. TEAS system consists of two separate connections across the Mediterranean Sea, continuing with two paths inter-linking the Middle East, with multiple routes across the Arabian Peninsula, and a route through the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea. TEAS, the first new dual path system of its kind, provides geographically diverse routes enabling new services with its unique optical capabilities to support modern Data Center deployments, bringing broadband and low latency access to the European, Middle East and Indian markets.

Grid Telecom, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Independent Power Transmission Operator of Greece (IPTO), provides telecommunications services to national and international providers. With a domestic fiber optic network exceeding 4,000 km, Grid Telecom currently offers diverse fiber connectivity between the island of Crete and the Greek mainland, in addition to its network infrastructure in Italy, the Balkans, and Central Europe, leveraging its position as a major, carrier-neutral hub in Europe. The expansion of Grid Telecom’s fiber optic network will exceed 6,000 km throughout Greece in the next five years, connecting islands with the core network.
