Grid Telecom and HCN Collaboration in Thessaloniki

GRID TELECOM and HCN announce the interconnection of their optical networks. Grid Telecom optical cable system is installed along the high voltage pylons of the mother company IPTO, ensuring high quality services. In addition, the cooperation of Grid Telecom – HCN in the Panhellenic provision of high speed capacities through a “state of the art” DWDM network in combination with high production SLA will be extended. “HCN” (Greek Cable Networks) was founded in Thessaloniki in January 2012, where it began the development of a privately owned fiber optic network, with its first subscribers connected to the Municipality of Kalamaria. Since then, the HCN network has been developing daily in Thessaloniki and Kilkis. HCN continues to invest and grow in new cities, such as the current one in the city of Katerini, with a long-term development plan, in Veria, Trikala, Larissa, Kozani and Athens. The goal is the gradual development of the network throughout Greece.
